I've
heard it said that to become successful, you need a "story"--something
that touches your emotions, something that makes you keep
going. It is the answer the the question, "Why am I
sitting here at 2 in the morning trying to make this work
when I'd really rather be in bed." Travis is my story.
Travis
was brain injured by DPT vaccine. He is a handsome and funny
young man who loves God, his Guardian Angel, and horses.
He likes to draw, and has drawn several angels and an advent
wreath for my samplers. He will probably be with me for
a long time to come. Unfortunately, he requires 24/7 attention.
Travis was the motivation to start a business that would
enable me to work from home so I could provide Travis' care
when he is out of school. Legally, disabled children can
stay in school until the age of 22. Travis turned 22 on
April 21, 2005.
I love crafts and I love the Lord. It is a real blessing
to be able to combine the two into a business that will
enable me to take care of my disabled son.
I
enjoy designing samplers, but I'll be the first to admit
that computers are not my strong point--developing my web
site has been a real and continuing challenge for me. My
apologies to all, as I am not up to speed yet; but I committed
to advertising in a national magazine that hit the newstands
before I was ready.
Thank
you for your patience as I scramble to fit all the pieces
together.
Yours
in Christ, Carolyn
